I. Introduction – Overview
The Cosmic Worldview presents a New Ontology – a New Paradigm, which replaces the old materialistic worldview where chance and coincidence govern, with a new, comprehensive world-picture illustrating a living and infinite Multiverse; the all-embracing Cosmos, where life is controlled and governed by an omnipresent consciousness in harmony with eternal creative principles and precise laws of nature. All living entities are immortal “life-units”, linked together and parts of this conscious, multidimensional and all-embracing Cosmos. Novel and groundbreaking evolutionary perspectives are also presented, signifying a new era in Biology. Describing a constant renewal and development for all living beings – an eternal evolution of life and consciousness, the Cosmic Evolutionary Spiral.
The Cosmic Worldview focuses on “The X-Structure” – the basic Nature of Life and Reality, which provides a profound solution to “The Hard Problem of Consciousness” (the mystery of perception) and “The Hard Problem of Reality” (the nature of objective reality). This fundamental X-structure is in principle the same for all forms of life.
The X-structure demonstrates that all living beings have, in addition to the temporary physical body, an immortal/eternal paraphysical body/structure with an “organic” system, to which the physical body is connected. This paraphysical structure exists and operates totally independently of the physical body. The activity/creation of perception is a very comprehensive process – by and for the Subject /the “I” – which involves three main levels: physical, semiphysical (transforming link), and paraphysical. It is especially at the paraphysical level that objective reality is transformed into qualia; subjective, immaterial phenomena only existing for the Subject/ the “I” – “the subjective reality complex”.
The X-structure clearly demonstrates that consciousness as such, does not exist inside the brain, but in an absolutely personal, immaterial world and reality that our personal I, in interaction with our total organism, particularly our paraphysical organism and its organic functions and processes, continuously generates.
The X-structure operates via the “Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process” – X-RCT Process: the bidirectional manifestation-perception process from unmanifested initial reality into manifested objective reality (manifestation) and the experience of it as qualia, subjective reality (perception) consciousness. – I.e. from emptiness and stillness (initial reality) to movement and quanta (objective reality) to qualia (subjective reality).
The understanding of the fundamental X-Structure and the Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process gives an insight into reality as it is (the nature of objective reality) and, not least, the experience of it as qualia (the perception process and subjective reality/ consciousness).
The Cosmic Worldview is based on the unique and ground-breaking knowledge conveyed by the Danish intuitive philosopher Martinus (Martinus Thomsen 1890-1981), systematized and further developed by his former trainee and collaborator Per Bruus-Jensen. New Cosmic Paradigm NCP X-AIONS is representing the Cosmic Worldview and the branch of Martinus Cosmology that presents Ontological Principles and New Science, focusing on the great issues of Life, Consciousness and Reality, meeting the need for a new worldview and a more profound understanding of life and reality. Accommodating natural science and contributing to the development of a new all-embracing “Cosmic Science”. This branch is especially represented by the comprehensive work and literature of Per Bruus-Jensen and the X-Research Project by NCP X-AIONS focusing on the Ontology of the Cosmic Worldview. The Living Being “X” – according to the Cosmic Worldview the infinite, all-embracing and living Cosmos/multiverse is fundamentally a question of immaterial emptiness and stillness. As this primordial form is unknown by man, Martinus has chosen to express it and the nature and structure of life and reality by the letter “X”. Life and reality in its basic form cannot be explained by or compared to anything known, Martinus describes and expresses it as: “a nameless Something, that is”.
II. The Hard Problem of Consciousness and Reality
Today many people raise the question: “Can traditional science and the current paradigm provide us with a description of reality as it is?” Our answer is “No”, because all human experience is subjective, resulting in a transformed subjective and limited understanding of reality. Primarily we are limited by our sensory organs and the specific way they operate (the compound eyes of a fly, the hearing organs of a bat and so on will give completely different experiences compared to ours). It is notable and very clear that everything described by traditional science is an interpretation of how we perceive it: a subjective view and understanding of reality, an image we ourselves have created through our sensory organs. At “TSC – The Science of Consciousness” conference (University of Arizona) 2014 Deepak Chopra, Menas Kafatos and Niel Theise also highlight the problem in a conference paper headed: “Can Current Science Give Us Access To Reality?” emphasizing that: “Empirical evidence is a description of a species-specific (human) mode of observation in a specific planetary system”. According to the authors of this chapter, we can only fully understand reality as it is via intuition, and this understanding is independent of our ordinary perception and sensory organs. The above-mentioned highlights “A Hard Problem of Current Science; The Reality Problem” and leads us also directly to what David Chalmers terms “The Hard Problem of Consciousness”, (i.e. the problem of experience; the problem of explaining how and why we have qualia or phenomenal experiences).
Traditional neuroscience claims that the brain operates like a computer and consciousness emerges from complex computation among neurons. However, it is evident that the materialistic view is being replaced more and more by openness to the existence of a universal consciousness. This was also clearly demonstrated in presentations at TSC – The Science of Consciousness conference 2016, e.g. via Deepak Chopra: “Consciousness is fundamental and without cause. It is the ground state of existence.”, and via Stuart Hameroff: “The brain ‘tunes into’ consciousness intrinsic to the universe.” And Dean Radin concluded from extensive research: “Results suggest consciousness is an active participant in reality.” But one does not reach the underlying causes of consciousness, its source and fundamental nature, nor the bearer of consciousness. Consciousness is presented more as something autonomous. However, it is notable that Mihretu Guta stressed: “the problem of consciousness goes hand in hand with the problem of its bearer, the self/person.”

III. Background to The Ontology of The Cosmic Worldview
• Martinus – Intuitive Philosopher and Mordern Mystic – “Martinus Cosmology”
Martinus Thomsen (1890-1981) is part of a long tradition of mystics and intuitive philosophers. What makes his work unique is that it presents a very logical and comprehensive description of reality that allows the reader to step by step to acquire a new and deeper understanding of life and existence.
Martinus was born in Sindal a small Danish village and grew up in modest circumstances. His education at the regular elementary school only consisted of a few lessons per week and later on, he went to work as a dairyman. He described himself as “an altogether unread person”. Martinus had existential and religious musings and when, in 1921, he acted on an impulse to meditate he had several unexpected intuitive experiences that permanently opened up a new area of perception to him. He explained that he had reached an expanded state of consciousness which he termed “cosmic consciousness”. From this new state of awareness, he could “see through” the physical world to an underlying paraphysical reality and by intuition penetrate the structure of life. Via his volitionally-controlled intuition, he obtained access to, what he called, an “ocean of wisdom”, (a vast cosmic “database” of information and knowledge). The moment he raised any question he became clearly aware of the answer and henceforth he devoted his life to formulating an altogether new world-picture of cosmological proportions: “Martinus Cosmology”. Using both text and symbols he gives an extensive logical, coherent analysis and explanations of the fundamental principles of Life and Reality. His main work is represented by The Book of Life, (Livets Bog) vol. I-VII and The Eternal World-Picture, vol. I-V, followed by a long line of complementary books, articles and other writings. It should be emphasized that Martinus strongly encourages and urges us to make our own explorations of life and nature to verify his teachings, and not to blindly believe anything he has conveyed.
• Intuition – Intuitive knowledge
Intuition: Instant understanding and knowing, the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning, see below.

According to Martinus, humanity is at an evolutionary phase of development where intuition* capacity is at a minimum stage but will gain strength as part of the ongoing evolutionary process. A phase where our instinct* is diminishing, and intelligence* and, not least, intuition are increasing, this process also entails that egoism will gradually be replaced by altruism – and this all together is characterizing the new emerging paradigm with increasing awareness of a greater reality.
Instinct: automation, autonomy, automatic functions, tropisms, habitual patterns, routines, virtuosity, traditionalism, rituals, ability to believe even fanaticism, dogmatism.
Intelligence: analysis, logic, rationality, expediency, efficiency, recognition/identification, reflection, calculation, foresight, imagination.
Intuition: synthesis, quintessence, instant understanding and knowing (independent of previous studies and our ordinary perception and sensory organs), penetrating, immediate insight, design and generation of ingenious ideas and perfected constructive creativity.
• Per Bruus-Jensen
Martinus’ student and later collaborator Per Bruus-Jensen/PBJ (1932-) met Martinus in 1957. Martinus soon realized PBJ´s unique talent and capacity and in 1958 gave him the specific mission to systematize, specify and concretize and thereby further develop the intuitive knowledge that Martinus conveyed. PBJ was tutored by Martinus on a daily basis for more than a decade for this purpose and has since devoted his life to this mission which also includes accommodating natural science and contributing to the development of a new “Cosmic Science”. The comprehensive work and literature of PBJ are of great ontological importance.
• Cosmic Science
Martinus described his intuitive knowledge as “spiritual science” and predicted that it will sooner or later unite with traditional science and become one all-comprehensive new “Cosmic Science”. Not least in this connection are Per Bruus-Jensen’s writings of greatest importance, providing a systematic, detailed description of the Cosmic Worldview, e.g.: “X” – A Complete Introduction to Martinus Cosmology (“The X-Work” – four volumes of about 2000 pages, English, German and Dutch translations are in progress), Existence and Immortality – on the Ontology of Martinus Cosmology (two volumes of about 600 pages), Cosmic Chemistry, Project Life (the Cosmic Evolution), (these titles are not yet available in English.)
Since science represents the initial incipient understanding of the Cosmos and existence, it constitutes the periphery of the cosmic- or psycho-spiritual world. It is the early emergence of cosmic consciousness.

The purely materialistic world-picture can therefore only put forward a picture of an ocean of highly heterogeneous types of movements, without the same science realizing that they are the expressions of the life or consciousness which exist behind them. Yet this science is nonetheless absolutely essential for mankind, and will gradually become clarified and conjoin with the cosmic science of spirit. Thus these two sciences will progressively become the one science that will be the absolute truth and, as such, constitute the conclusive solution to the mystery of life; inasmuch as materialistic science should naturally be seen as the introduction to this solution or revelation at the level of materiality or in the area of the purely physical.

The intuition-based knowledge presented in the Cosmic Worldview may in some fields partly be supported and verified through various types of traditional research, but above all we need new methods and not least a new way of thinking. Albert Einstein emphasized: “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
• “The Two Branches”
Martinus Cosmology is characterized by two main ‘branches’, each of which addresses itself to people’s diverse needs and preferences.
In his later years, Martinus gathered his own entire production: The Book of Life, vol. I-VII; The Eternal World-Picture, vol. I-VI; a long line of complementary books; articles and other writings, and grouped them under the collective name, The Third Testament, which presents a new world picture. At first glance, this work looks as if it is aimed at people searching for logical explanations of the content within religions. Martinus also clarifies evident misunderstandings and misinterpretations. In other words, this branch of Martinus Cosmology is instrumental in bringing about an intellectualization of the content of religions, using Christianity as its point of departure. It was natural for Martinus to relate his cosmic knowledge mainly to Christianity, since this cultural tradition played the decisive role as the all-dominating element in his background as a child during the 1890s and early 1900s. This branch is mainly represented by The Martinus Institute in Copenhagen, which is ensuring and providing Martinus´ extensive production.
The other branch focuses on the Ontology of The Cosmic Worldview and has an ontological and scientific bent and character, denoted by its profound analyses and definitions of the fundamental principles and structures in the Cosmic Worldview. Martinus laid the foundation for this branch in his own work, and further by personally tutoring Per Bruus-Jensen and assigning to him the specific mission to systematize, specify and concretize and thereby further develop the intuitive knowledge that Martinus himself conveyed. It should also be mentioned that Martinus’ teaching and his discussions with Per Bruus-Jensen dealt at times with topics and areas which Martinus has not himself put forward in his own literature, but which for the major part are to be found in Per Bruus-Jensen’s production. In brief, the direct aim of this branch of Martinus Cosmology is to present ontological principles and New Science, and accommodating natural science and contributing to the development of a new all-embracing “Cosmic Science”. This branch is especially represented by the comprehensive work and literature of Per Bruus-Jensen and the X-Research Project by NCP X-AIONS, focusing on the ontology of Martinus Cosmology – the Cosmic Worldview. It should be added that many are inspired by both branches. They complement each other, and help us to a more profound understanding of life and reality, and thereby developing and acting with an ever deeper sense of responsibility, empathy and care for all life – fellow humans, animals, nature, the whole planet.
• Paradigm Shift
It should be emphasized that much of the knowledge we are approaching within contemporary science (not least within quantum physics and quantum biology) and our deepening understanding of reality and consciousness arising therefrom, in many cases leads to new existential conclusions in line with the Cosmic World-Picture. Conclusions that have been expressed in different ways by several of our greatest scientists and theorists, such as: Planck, Einstein, Wheeler, Bohm, Heisenberg and others.
Moreover, today we see a constantly increasing flow of new information, new thoughts, ideas and research results etc., presented in various fields, in alignment with the Cosmic Worldview. We are at the beginning of a New Paradigm, discovering step by step the ultimate nature of Consciousness and Reality.
IV. The X-Structure and The Reality – Consciousness Transformation Process (The X-RCT Process)
• Ontological Presentation
Initially it should be emphasized that the following text is a brief and strictly ontological presentation of the X-structure without comparisons to other sources and research. The Ontology of the Cosmic Worldview comprises many completely novel concepts (and some already known concepts, such as energy, have new and extended definitions and meanings). An open mind will facilitate understanding and the reader is welcome to draw his/her own conclusions and to make comparisons to other sources and conceptions of reality.
We also refer to the page “Supplementary Information to Ontological Presentations and Symbols/Diagrams (Xom3)” which includes background perspectives and further developments with comparative and explanatory text, special terms, classifications, references to Martinus’ concepts and terminology, different translations of designations and terms, etc.
• The Living Being – “X”
According to the Cosmic Worldview the infinite, all-embracing and living Cosmos/multiverse is fundamentally a question of immaterial emptiness and absolute stillness. As this primordial form is unknown by man, Martinus has chosen to express it and the nature and structure of life and reality by the letter “X”, as in mathematics this is the symbol of the first unknown in an equation. Moreover, as the Cosmos in its basic form cannot be explained by or compared to anything known, Martinus described and expressed it as: “a nameless Something, that is”; additionally defining it as: “a Something with the will and ability to experience” and therefore de facto a something that develops consciousness (i.e. knowledge of something’s being – including its own). To present a structured explanatory model describing this ontologically is the very core of Martinus’ and not least of Per Bruus-Jensen’s work.
• The X-Structure – the Basic Nature of Life and Reality
The X-structure is in principle the same for all living things at all levels; for every individual, organ, cell, planet etc. – Yes, for everything including the all-embracing Something “X”; the infinite COSMOS every living being is a part of …
This fundamental X-structure constitutes the very basic nature of life and reality, and it is constantly activating and transforming the emptiness and stillness into energy, force, movement, matter and the subjective side of it all, namely; qualia, experience/ consciousness. The operational functions of the X-structure* underlie and maintain all life and consciousness.
* “The Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process” (The X-RCT Process)
Below follows a brief description of the X-structure with the initial reality as starting point.
• The Initial Reality X0 and the Triune Operating Principle
X0 – the Initial Reality, the primordial domain of existence is an all-embracing, unmanifested world of emptiness and absolute stillness; a world which, in “virtual” form, contains an infinite potential of creative possibilities, thereby constituting the initial reality; the absolute and comprehensive foundation and origin of everything. Here prevails the condition of wholeness and infinity; a state of total nonduality and nonlocality.
The Central Need and the Infinite Potential of Creative Possibilities
In a self-referential manner (i.e. with itself as the only prerequisite) X0 is permeated by a spontaneous and continuous need for self-knowledge, (i.e. the ability to perceive and experience itself) termed “the central need” (PBJ term). The central need implies a need for contrast to the unmanifested X0-nature, i.e. to convert and transform itself into manifested form by using the infinite potential of creative possibilities. In other words; the conversion of the ”virtual” creative possibilities in X0, into manifested form results in a Something that is capable of existential self-experience and self-affirmation. The central need is “supported” by the potential creative possibilities, which, by their nature, continuously, autonomously and spontaneously appeal to their own conversion into manifested form, Figure 1.
The Primordial Urge and the Triune Operating Principle
The “first” and continuous consequence of the central need is the generating of a motivating and determining will termed “the primordial urge”, (Martinus’ term “urbegæret”, in some English translations “primordial desire”), taking advantage of the potential creative possibilities in order to create a contrast to the X0-nature, Figure 2.
The direct and continuous confirmation of this is the permanent activation of an indivisible, fundamental principle with three integrated functional aspects (X1, X2, X3), which Martinus termed “the triune principle”, Figure 3.
• “The Material Illusion”
In other words, the immaterial Something X0, under the influence of its central need and primordial urge, spontaneously and continuously steps into character as a triune operating principle: An operating principle which, although immaterial, by using the aforementioned potential creative possibilities, is able to produce an illusionary alternative to its own basic nature of emptiness and stillness; specifically in the form of the so-called material world and reality, represented by the known material universe with its spectrum of matter, particles, organisms, planets, solar systems and galaxies, etc. However, according to Martinus, this can only happen on an illusionistic basis, in the sense that the entire material world and reality are fundamentally totally immaterial and therefore may be described as a huge illusion: An illusion so brilliantly executed that it is almost impossible to comprehend – even for today’s sophisticated science. (From physics we know that subatomic particles constitute the tiniest part of matter, and that an apparently omnipresent void (99,999…9%) is dominant throughout, i.e. almost 100% is just emptiness.)
• The Three Functional Aspects of The Triune Operating Principle “X” – Figure 4
X1 – the Creating and Experiencing Something – the Subject/ the “I” (the “bearer of consciousness”, the timeless “central point” we term and refer to as “I”)
X2 – this Something’s Creative and Experiential Ability; qualitative “Cosmic Basic Energy” and form-creating structuring principles that sustain and organize life & reality.
Energy (basic energies) and Morphogenetic Effect Constants /Cosmic Creative Principles
X3 – this Something’s created and experienced reality – the Created and Experienced, i.e. X3 = the result of the interaction between the I/ the Subject (X1) and its Creative/Experiential Ability (X2), represented by the material illusion as objective reality (X3 obj.) on one side, and the experience of it as subjective reality (X3 subj.) on the other. (Temporary objective and subjective effects: movement, the “material illusion”, the manifested Cosmos (obj. reality) – and – the experience of it as qualia (subj. reality); the “subjective reality complex”).
Energy Conversion, Movement (X3 = energy conversion: X3 obj. = movement, X3 subj. = experience of movement, qualia.)
• The Triune Operating Principle and The Cosmic Transformation Process; The Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process (The X-RCT Process)
The purpose and result of the Triune Operating Principle imply an eternal transformation process, the Cosmic Transformation Process or the Reality – Consciousness Transformation Process: the bidirectional manifestation-perception process from unmanifested initial reality into manifested objective reality (manifestation) and the experience of it as qualia, subjective reality (perception) consciousness.
• From X0 the Unmanifested – to – X3 the Manifested and Qualia
– The X-RCT Process; “from Emptiness and Stillness (Initial Reality) to Movement and Quanta (Objective Reality) to Qualia (Subjective Reality).” –
The “flowchart” below aims to summarily illustrate the X-Structure and the Cosmic Transformation Process/ the X-RCT Process “from X0 to X3”, i.e. from emptiness and stillness into movement, matter (X3 obj.) and experience – qualia (X3 subj.):
1. X0 (“the Unmanifested”, immaterial, emptiness, stillness, infinite potentail creative possibilities) is permeated and influenced by the Central Need.
2. The Central Need (supported by the Potential Creative Possibilities) generates the Primordial Urge.
3. The Primordial Urge initiates and activates the Triune Operating Principle as a whole – i.e. all three aspects are simultaneously active.
4. X1 (the Creator and Experiencer, the I/the Subject) permanently uses its X2 (Creative and Experiential Ability; basic energy and morphogenetic effect constants) to transform the X0-nature (immaterial, emptiness, stillness) into X3 (“the Manifested”, the Created and the Experienced) represented by: Movement, the Material Illusion – i.e. Objective Reality and the experience of it as Subjective Reality; the Manifested Cosmos (X3 obj.), and Experience/ Consciousness (X3 subj.).
The primordial urge functions as an extension of the central need, and is spontaneously “linked to” the X1-functional aspect of the triune operating principle (the creator and experiencer). The principle X1 (the creator/experiencer, the “I”/ the subject is closest to the X0-nature (emptiness and stillness), in fact, it is in principle identical to it, but with one absolutely crucial addition: The primary task of the X1-principle is to add to the X0-nature a way to function – namely as the cause of the phenomenon of creation on one hand, and as the ultimate experiencer of that creation and all its results on the other, (- i.e. precisely as the functional principle X1 (creator/ experiencer).
• The Five Universal Classes of Motion
Everything created (X3) emerges as an expression of life/movements and thus constitutes a contrast to the X0-nature of emptiness and stillness, (without contrast no experience). Creation involves conversion of energy and manifests itself as movement, namely the five universal classes of motion: 1. The Primordial motion and the four so-called ”derived motions” in the physical world known as 2. Space, 3.Time, 4.Transformation, 5. Matter.
The primordial motion has both objective and subjective status and implies a positional motion “from A to B”, whereas the four derived motions are subjective versions (X3 subj.) and thus alternative representations of the objective primordial motion (X3 obj.), transformed by X1 in interaction with X2.
Martinus states: “Motion is the most distinctive feature of life – movement is life in a demonstration.” In his teachings to Per Bruus-Jensen he also emphasized that: “all motions of the Multiverse neutralize each other, confirming the all-embracing X0-nature of emptiness and stillness as its base”.
• Summary – The Cosmic Transformation Process
The Cosmic Transformation Process (The X-RCT Process) “from X0 to X3”, i.e. the creation of Experience/ Consciousness, is the superior task of the Triune Operating Principle and thereby of Life itself. The phenomenon of Experience/Consciousness concerns the way in which X2/energy and its objective functions (= energy conversion X3/objectively), exist for the Subject X1 (= experience X3/subjectively).
In other words; the result of the interaction between the Subject (X1) and its Creative/Experiential Ability (X2) is represented by the Created (X3); the material illusion as Objective Reality (X3 obj.) on one side – and – the experience of it as Subjective Reality, “Qualia” (X3 subj.) on the other.
To facilitate the understanding of the ultimate nature of reality and consciousness it is necessary to take a closer look at the X2-function, the creative transformation link between X1/the subject/the I and X3 the created and experienced.
• X2 – The Creative and Experiential Ability;
The Qualitative Basic Energies and the Cosmic Creative Principles/ Morphogenetic Effect Constants
Briefly about X2 the Creative and Experiential Ability in general: In practice, this ability is expressed by what we call “energy” (Greek: the ability to act/operate). According to Martinus, everything that is created is built up by the seven extremely subtle Basic energies/ Fundamental energies, one of which, the Mother energy, is the source of the six others. These seven energies are qualitative and each one holds specific properties. (All the seven basic energies are subjectively registered by X1 as creative abilities, each with its own specific performance profile.) As mentioned these basic energies build up everything in life and existence – from the most subtle, e.g. thoughts, feelings, memories, etc. to the very densest e.g. physical matter, black holes, etc.
The primary fundamental energy, the mother energy, holds and operates via a number of so-called Cosmic Creative Principles, also termed Morphogenetic Effect Constants; form-creating and structuring forces that sustain and organize life and reality. We can empirically observe the effects of the mother energy’s morphogenetic effect constants for instance in what we term constants and laws of nature with their extremely delicate precision etc. In other words, the appropriate functioning of the infinite, multidimensional Cosmos is a result of these morphogenetic effect constants. The X2-function and its creative principles/ effect constants create a contrast to the X0-nature of emptiness, stillness, wholeness, infinity, eternity, nonduality, nonlocality is transformed and structured into movement, life-units, space, time, states, distances etc.
The X2-function with its Cosmic Creative Principles/ Morphogenetic Effect Constants operates and functions as a “transformation process”, creating contrasts to the X0-nature, e.g.:
• Wholeness → Life-Units, Separation, Quantification…
• Emptiness → Energy, Matter
• Stillness → Movement
• Infinity → Space
• Eternity → Time
An overview of the seven basic energies and some of the most the most important morphogenetic effect constants follows below.
• The Seven Qualitative Basic Energies/ Fundamental Energies (X2)
All creation rests on the basic/ fundamental energies; this means that the enormous and complex manifested Cosmos (X3) simply consists of these basic energies. Martinus thoroughly describes these seven extremely subtle fundamental energies, and gives them specific names, signature colors and numbers in order to illustrate their qualities and relative strength of impact. He emphasizes that they always operate together in different combinations (this topic is termed Cosmic Chemistry). Below follows a brief description of the seven basic energies summarizing the characteristics of each energy along with some of the instances in which the described energy dominates, (see also table “The Basic Energies – Overview”).
Mother energy (violet, impact factor 420): The primary and supreme energy: 1. Generates, controls and co-ordinates the six other basic energies. 2. Holds and operates via a number of so-called cosmic creative principles, also termed morphogenetic effect constants; formative and structuring forces that sustain and organize life and reality.
Instinct energy (red, impact factor 20): automation, autonomy, automatic functions, tropisms, habitual patterns, routines, virtuosity, traditionalism, rituals, ability to believe even fanaticism, dogmatism.
Expansion/Action energy (orange, impact factor 40) (in some English translations also known as “Gravity energy”, which is an earlier and unfortunately misleading term*): expansion, action, dynamism, manifestation, acting outwards, explosion, acceleration, heat, the main component of physical matter, “mass-function”; responsible for what we term mass and the Higgs field*. In consciousness, this energy is emotionally expressed as aggressiveness, ruthlessness, egoism – destructive and even homicidal and killing activities.
The opposite qualities of the Expansion/Action energy are found in:
Contraction/Perception energy (yellow, impact factor 60) (also known as “Feeling energy”): contraction, perception, registering, reception, regulation of dynamics, acting inwards, receiving activities, implosion, retardation, coldness, condensing effect, “gravity-function”*. In consciousness, this energy is emotionally expressed as sensitivity, empathy, altruism – life-giving and loving activities.
*Additional information about the Expansion/Action energy “EAE” and the Contraction/Perception energy “CPE”: The interaction and tension between these two antagonistic energies constitute the very basis of what physicists term force, particles and matter. In brief: The dynamic EAE (under the influence of CPE) is the main component of physical matter and thus responsible for what we call mass and the Higgs field. Physical matter is generated as a result of the tension between EAE and CPE. Physical matter consists of EAE (“mass-function”) condensed by CPE (“gravity-function”). In this context, we refer to Physics, Martinus Cosmology and The Theory of Everything – The Fundamental Energy Theory – FET, by Leif Pettersson (New Cosmic Paradigm NCP X-AIONS).
Intelligence energy (green, impact factor 80): analysis, logic, rationality, expediency, efficiency, recognition/identification, reflection, calculation, foresight, imagination.
Intuition energy (blue, impact factor 120): synthesis, quintessence, instant understanding and knowing (independent of previous studies and our ordinary perception and sensory organs), penetrating, immediate insight, design and generation of ingenious ideas and perfected constructive creativity.
Memory energy (light indigo, impact factor 100) (also termed “Memory- and Bliss energy”): accumulation, preservation and archiving, retrospection, remembrance. This energy is dominating in experiences of bliss, intense pleasure based on what Martinus terms “gold-copies”; cosmic chemically processed and refined sections of accumulated experiences/memories.
• The Cosmic Creative Principles/ the Morphogenetic Effect Constants (X2)
A short description of some of the main Cosmic Creative Principles:
Pole principle (the principle for the formation of poles) – effect: all “polar” or dual conditions, such as plus/minus, North/South, male/female, sending/receiving of energy, etc.
Contrast principle (the principle for the formation of contrast) – effect: all contrasts and antagonisms, such as day/night, light/dark, black/white, sour/sweet, good/evil, beautiful/ugly, joy/sorrow, etc., (without contrast no experience).
Perspective principle (the principle for the formation of perspective) – effect: all perspectival effects including dimensions, proportions, relationships in size, grading, distinctions in importance, hierarchical systems, etc.
Motion principle (the principle for the formation of motion) – effect: all forms of movement – the Five Universal Classes of Motion: 1. the Primordial Motion (implies a positional motion “from A to B”) and the four so-called “derived motions” that we know as 2. space, 3. time, 4. transformation/ change, 5. matter.
Cycle principle (the principle for the formation of cycles) – effect: all kinds of cycles. All movement occurs in cycles, every kind of movement in the entire Cosmos forms a circular path, (supplement below).
– Reincarnation principle (the principle for the formation of reincarnation) is a principle closely associated to/WITH the Cycle principle. During periods of our eternal evolutionary process we are living alternately in a physical world and in a paraphysical world, during which periods reincarnation is a necessity. The reincarnation principle functions as a “life renewer” (exchange and renewal of physical bodies) in the physical world/ physical dimensions, and is important to us in our development towards higher life forms.
– The Law of Movement, all movement occurs in cycles. In the absolute sense, the straight line does not exist, since it is always a part of a cycle. Every kind of movement in the entire Cosmos forms a circular path. If the energies were not bound in cycles, there would be no experience of life, no consciousness, no fate, and no organisms. (Martinus’ Symbol no 15)
– The Law of Karma, everything (both positive and negative) that we “send out”, (all our actions, thoughts and feelings, etc.) returns to us sooner or later; the energies always return to their source in one form or another.
Life-Unit principle/ Matter and Life-Unit principle (the principle for the formation of life-units) – effect: the division of wholeness and the structuring of energy into units/quanta, such as particles, cells, organs, organisms, planets, suns, galaxies, etc. Life organizes itself as “life within life”, thereby existing in common interaction and mutual dependence. All living beings are immortal “life-units” linked together and parts of the infinite, living wholeness; the all-embracing, multidimensional Cosmos.
Introductory summary Martinus’ symbol no 7 – The Life-Unit Principle: “The Cosmos is an infinite unit, an all-embracing being and consists of all existing living beings. These are organized as Life within Life. This means that every being is both a macro-being, which provides living space for micro-beings – and also a micro-being, which gets its living space from a larger macro-being. In this, way all living beings are vital to one another.”
The life-unit principle is responsible for manifested reality’s fractalized nature, its division into units of any form, including organisms for living beings. In other words, this creative principle entails that the living Cosmos, on the manifested level, has divided and structured itself into life-units/living beings – “Triune Life-Units”. The complementarity of wholeness/oneness and duality/separation, as well as the “Structure of Entanglement” are formed and explained mainly by the life-unit principle.
Talent Core (or Talent-kernel) principle/ Ability-Nuc principle (the principle for the formation of ”talent cores”/ “ability-nucs”, in some English translations “talent-kernels”) – effect: accumulation of all experiences into stable storage units talent cores/ ability-nucs. The main functions of the talent cores/ ability-nucs are to store and accumulate all our personal experiences, knowledge, abilities, skills and qualities in order to make it possible for us to reuse and develop them, including to take them with us from life to life. The talent cores and their functions are prerequisites for the development of all forms of life and evolutionary processes. Briefly, a talent core/ ability-nuc is a paraphysical, organic center of power containing all the experiences the living being has acquired in certain areas during its eternal life. These experiences and knowledge are transformed into codified patterns of vibrations containing the “data” or “programme”, of which the current talent core handles the “administration”.
Specialized talent cores constitute a personal “perception archive” and play a major role in the perception process and the creation of qualia. The information stored in these talent cores gives “resonance” to new incoming objective impulses and influences how we transform, interpret and act on stimuli, i.e. the transformation of objective reality into personal subjective reality, (the bidirectional “Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process”, X-RCT). Specific “organic-talent cores” contain information for the creation of organisms and are crucial for how things take their form, grow and evolve in a particular way (dismissing the traditional theory that all this complex form-shaping and development is merely genetically programmed). The primary form-shaping and evolving processes with all the underlying information are accumulated in the talent cores and activated at the paraphysical level.
Supplement: The Talent Core/ Ability-nuc principle is also highly relevant in the field of epigenetics as it exerts influence on the genes of the DNA-spiral via the generated talent cores/ ability-nucs. Namely, in the “top-down” way in which the talent cores define and enforce the appearance of new genes in the DNA-spiral, which in this context can be seen as a neutral “keyboard” that talent cores can “play”, and thereby contribute to determining the “music”; i.e. the actual evolutionary process. The talent core principle also helps to explain the so-called evolutionary ‘leaps’, represented by the quite sudden appearance of new species, as well as regeneration of extinct species given the ability to evolve into new species through the use of the great and abundant accumulation of talent cores/ ability-nucs brought from their previous existence (this subject area is described by Per Bruus-Jensen in Project LIFE – The Cosmic Evolution).
Development, Protection and Parent principle (the principle for the formation of development, protection and teaching) – effect: all forms of development (e.g. physical, biological, psychological, emotional, intellectual), protection, parenting, caring, health and social care, leadership, guidance, teaching, education, school and education systems, etc., the principle also implies comprehensive protection and responsibility for all forms of development in a greater perspective including evolution. Martinus terms this principle the “world redemption principle” (the principle of world redemption) and also the “parent principle”, NCP X-AIONS, Therner & Loeth use the term “development, protection and parent principle”.
After this brief summary of the X2-nature focusing on the basic/fundamental energies and the morphogenetic effect constants/cosmic creative principles, let´s go back to the X-structure as a whole and the Hard Problem of Consciousness and Reality.
• From Emptiness and Stillness into Qualia; The Hard Problem
Summarily, the X-Structure and its triune operating principle is activating and transforming the emptiness and stillness into energy, force, movement, matter and the subjective side of it all, namely; experience/consciousness – qualia.
If we go deeper into the X-Structure and its processes, we will find a detailed solution to the hard problem of consciousness by exploring and understanding the immortal structure of life and the transformation process of objective reality into subjective reality/consciousness – and thereby an insight into reality as it is …
• The “Key”: The Immortal Structure
According to the X-Structure all living beings have, in addition to the temporary physical body, an immortal/eternal paraphysical body/structure (see below), which the physical body is connected to and completely dependent on. Martinus and Per Bruus-Jensen describe how this paraphysical structure is constructed and how it operates. E.g. the processes and paraphysical structures that, alongside the physical brain activity constitute the basis of our ability to experience, think, remember, feel etc. These paraphysical structures constitute an organic system that exists and operates totally independently of the physical body. The brain’s primary role is – in interaction with a semiphysical structure, connected to a paraphysical structure – to operate as a bridge/interface between and the cosmic subject-principle/X1 and the physical material reality/X3 (obj.).
The X-Structure demonstrates that life and consciousness are independent of the physical body, and “to die” just implies a transition from physical life to a paraphysical continuation of life. The X-Structure also describes the process of reincarnation and explains past-life memories, near-death experiences, after-death communication, etc.
• Paraphysical and Semiphysical including the “Switching Body”
Before we go further a short and simplified definition according to Martinus and Per Bruus-Jensen of Paraphysical and Semiphysical including the Switching Body:
Paraphysical: a frequency level ”beyond” what we term physical; comprising “finer”/more subtle forms of energy/matter with higher frequencies and thereby extremely rapid vibrations, based on and functioning according to different constants and laws of nature compared to the physical world we know. The paraphysical reality exists (albeit unobservable to us) ”side by side” with physical reality, and comprises the primary zone of the qualitative “basic/fundamental energies” and thereby the paraphysical dimensions/planes of existence. (Martinus terms this level “spiritual” and “overphysical” or “higher physical”). This level cannot be explored by traditional science.
Semiphysical: (primarily paraphysical) comprises both physical and paraphysical energy/matter, functions as a transition and transformation zone and “link” between the physical level and the paraphysical level.
The semiphysical level comprises the particular energy zone physicists try to define, explain and explore termed the zero-point field. However, the paraphysical world of energy is the source for the semiphysical force field and thereby also for the zero-point field. At this level a special utilization of three of the basic energies, (instinct, expansion/action and contraction/perception) creates a ”heavier” and more massive form of energy compared to the pure paraphysical form. The semiphysical field and the “switching body” (see below) with all its transformation activities are absolutely crucial for creation and qualia, experience at the physical level. According to Per Bruus-Jensen this semiphysical level and the switching body might be observed and “registered” in the future by traditional science.
The Switching Body: The semiphysical so-called “switching body” (PBJ’s term) constitutes an “organic link” between the physical body and the paraphysical structure, and executes the transition and transformation functions between the temporary physical body and the immortal paraphysical body structure, the “eternal body”. The switching body is connected to the eternal body as well as to the physical brain structure, and functions as a paraphysical extension of the brain. The brain is primarily connected to the switching body when we are awake “day-consciousness” (Martinus’ term) but during sleep “night-consciousness” (Martinus’ term) the contact between the brain and the switching body is, temporarily, almost disconnected. (Night-consciousness is “located at” the semiphyscial level and the paraphysical level.) After death when contact with the physical body is lost, the switching body still has an important function for a time, before life and consciousness continue at the “higher paraphysical level” through the paraphysical body.
• Ability-Nucs/ Talent Cores
Regarding the paraphysical body/structure, we want to emphasize the very important paraphysical stable storage units Martinus terms ability-nucs or talent cores – Please see the description above (The Cosmic Creative Principles/the Morphogenetic Effect Constants (X2): “Ability-Nuc principle/Talent Core principle”).
• The X-Structure – The Three “Organic” Levels: A. Physical, B. Semiphysical, C. Paraphysical
– and The Creation of Qualia/X3 Subj.; Perception (X-RCT Process)
The activity of perception/ creation of qualia is a very comprehensive process – by and for X1/the subject/the I – which involves three main levels: A. Physical level (temporary status); B. Semiphysical level (temporary status); C. Paraphysical level (eternal status).
The text and the symbolic illustration of the X-Structure, Figure 6 below, by Per Bruus-Jensen and NCP X-AIONS (followed by an overview/diagram text) describe the three “organic” levels of the living being and the activity of perception – the creation of qualia.
A. Physical level: The Physical Organism – Temporary status
Incoming objective impulses (X3 obj.) entering via the physical organism with its sensory organs, nervous system and brain: processes and transformation at the physical level.

B. Semiphyscial level: The Switching Body – Temporary status
The Switching body (transition and transformation zone and organic link between the temporary physical body and the immortal/eternal paraphysical body). The switching body structure is connected to the eternal body as well as to the physical brain structure, and functions as a paraphysical extension of the brain. The results/products of the physical processes are moving on to the switching body, transformation processes continue here in preparation for the next level.
(According to Per Bruus-Jensen this semiphysical structure/switching body might be observed and “registered” in the future by traditional science.)
C. Paraphysical level: The Eternal Body – Eternal, autonomous status
Transformed objective impulses reach the eternal body and the primary transformation and perception processes take place in this immortal paraphysical structure and are independent of the physical organism. The paraphysical organism is very extensive, comprising an extremely complex organic system including e.g. the talent cores/ ability-nucs and the perception archive. The information stored in these talent cores gives “resonance” to new incoming objective impulses and influences how we transform, interpret and act on stimuli, i.e. the transformation of Objective Reality into personal Subjective Reality, (the bidirectional “Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process”, X-RCT).
It should be emphasized that it is especially at this paraphysical level that objective reality (X3 Obj.) is transformed into qualia (X3 Subj.), i.e.: immaterial phenomena only existing for the subject/the I (X1).
(This level cannot be explored by traditional science, it can only be described by Cosmic Science primarily based on intuition.)

The X-Structure – the Nature of Life and Reality – demonstrates that Life and Consciousness are independent of the physical body.
The X-Structure operates via the “Reality-Consciousness Transformation Process” – X-RCT Process: the bidirectional manifestation-perception process from unmanifested initial reality into manifested objective reality (manifestation) and the experience of it as subjective reality – experience/ consciousness (perception) – ie: from emptiness and stillness (initial reality) to movement and quanta (objective reality) to qualia (subjective reality).
The knowledge and understanding of the X-Structure – the Nature of Life and Reality – and the X-RCT Process gives an insight into reality as it is; the nature of objective reality and, not least, the experience of it as qualia; the perception process and the subjective reality/consciousness. A profound solution to the “Hard Problem of Consciousness” (the mystery of perception, qualia) and the “Hard Problem of Reality” (the nature of objective reality). And even more importantly; it will profoundly and very positively affect how we live our lives and thus the future of all life on Earth – A New Era; The New Cosmic Paradigm.
Consciousness (X3 subj.) as such, does not exist inside the brain, but in an absolutely personal, immaterial world and reality that our personal “I” (X1), in interaction with our total organism, particularly our paraphysical organism and its organic functions and processes (X2/X3) based on eternal principles (X2), continuously generates. Consciousness/Experience (X3 subj.) is an organic indivisible part of the living being (the X3 subj. aspect of the X-Structure and the Triune Operating Principle).
The phenomenon of Consciousness/Experience concerns the way in which X2/energy and its objective functions (= energy conversion X3/obj.), exist for the Subject X1/the I (= experience, qualia X3/subj.). (Bruus-Jensen, 2015)
